Crystal is the editor of the Canadian Adventist Messenger, the magazine of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada. Prior to taking leadership there 3 years ago, Crystal did freelance editing and PR consulting for ADRA Canada. She also spent one year pitch-hitting in the position of freshman English teacher for Canadian University College when her alma mater needed some help. In addition to editing the Messenger, Crystal serves as the communication liaison for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada, facilitating connections between conferences and their publics. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Associated Church Press.

Crystal is currently completing a Master's degree in Communications and Technology from the University of Alberta where she has specialized in web-based communications for non-profit organizations.
